I think we might be on the verge of opening a bookshop. Complete excitement in our household. There's a long way to go yet, but after it being no more than a dream for a long time, there is a chance of it actually happening. We've found premises, about the right size, not too expensive, but not too far from the main drag to prevent anyone finding us, and with enough character to provide a good setting. Fingers crossed as we start negotiations on the lease in the next few weeks.

Congratulations and good luck, you are brave people.
Just one thing, I couldn't find where your shop is to be.

  2. Hi Anita - and thanks for the good luck message. 'Brave' is certainly a word we've heard a lot, as well as a few other choice (and less complimentary) phrases - "you're mad" and "you're going to do what?!" being my particular favourite from a friend of mine.

The lack of geographic location is (at the moment) simply because we are negotiating the lease, and there is a chance it won't come off, so we may need to look further afield. All I can say at the moment is we're currently planning to open in our home town in Oxfordshire, not too far from Oxford. But as soon as we have the OK on the lease, we shall reveal all...
