Nicki Thornton at Abingdon Library - 7th August

Mostly Books' previous owner, Nicki Thornton, will be doing an event at Abingdon Library on Tuesday 7th August at 5.30pm and Mostly Books will be there!

Nicki published her first book: The Last Chance Hotel on 7th June and it has been a huge success.  At the event, Nicki will be talking about her debut murder mystery novel for children set in a magical world. She will be giving some clues about plotting murder mysteries and signing copies of The Last Chance Hotel (provided by Mostly Books!).

Nicki Thornton Book Launch: 28th June

Mostly Books' previous owner, Nicki Thornton, is publishing her first book: The Last Chance Hotel on 7th June.

Nicki will be having a book launch to celebrate the new publication.  She received so many messages of support and good wishes when she won her award back in 2016, she wants the chance to say 'thank you' and she would love to invite customers of Mostly Books to help celebrate.

The launch will be taking place on Thursday 28th June at OLA Seniors from 7pm.

There is a limit on spaces, so if you would like to come, please RSVP by 1st June indicating how many places you would like, and we will do our best to accommodate you on a first come, first served basis.

Those that have RSVP'd will be contacted prior to the event to confirm the number of places that they have been allocated for the launch. So please do let us know if you would like to be added to the invite list.

Nicki Thornton Book Signing - 9th June 2018

Former co-owner of Mostly Books, Nicki Thornton, will be signing copies of her new book, The Last Chance Hotel, in the shop from 1pm on 9th June.  

The Last Chance Hotel is a crime fiction for children and it looks fabulous! 

Seth is the oppressed kitchen boy at the remote Last Chance Hotel, owned by the nasty Bunn family.  His only friend is his black cat, Nightshade.  When a strange gathering of magicians arrives for dinner, kindly Dr Thallomius is poisoned by Seth's special dessert....

A locked-room murder investigation ensues - and Seth is the main suspect. The funny thing is, he's innocent . can he solve the mystery and clear his name, especially when magic's afoot?
